May 1, 2024

We rethink the week with Dean Spiliotis, Civic Scholar and Presidential Scholar at Southern New Hampshire University; Stephen Pimpare, political science professor at the University of New Hampshire and a nationally recognized expert on poverty, homelessness, and U.S. social policy; and Robert Hennelly, investigative reporter for Slack.com, the NJInsider, @stucknation, and for The Chief/Leader, a public employee union journal in NYC.

Among other things, we discuss the need for Joe Biden – if he wins – to get out of his comfort zone of “the center” and take some bold steps to take back our democracy.  He will have to reverse not only the Republican assault on the courts, but also Trump’s negation of many of the values that our country stands for, his exacerbating the health crisis, and the grotesque distortion of the economy in favor of the 1% and the billionaires.
