It’s Texahampshire Friday!

Part One: Our weekly update from the Lone Star State, with Scott Braddock, editor of the Quorum Report. Topics include: the end of straight ticket voting, Scott’s speech to Amarillo Republicans about the importance of rural voters, Beto – should he run for president, vouchers, bill to repeal in-state tuition for undocumented kids, the Texas GOP chair wants to be paid – and more.

Part Two: Jay Surdukowski is a campaign finance lawyer based in Concord, NH. He joins us to talk about NH’s new Election Unit, and how it’s being tested. A non-profit has charged Governor Chris Sununu with accepting nearly $20,000 in illegal contributions from partnerships that are forbidden under state law from making contributions. Another group is taking on Americans For Prosperity NH, for mailers and door-hangers that they claim are actually campaign mailers. This will be an major test for the new Election Law Unit, and the AG.
