11am: The morning puree (hyper local NH news) Dan Tuohy, Associate Regional Editor of patch.com (NH) 11:15AM: Some Support!…Arnie’s letter to the editor in the Sunday Concord Monitor and better yet, the comments you may have missed: As we bid au revoir to this legislative term, I go back to the nearly 50 percent cut in aid that the O’Brien Legislature delivered to New Hampshire’s university system. In December, 2006, we retired; Ginny after a distinguished 20 years as the Director of Tracy Library and I, as the Vice President for Finance and Administration at Vermont Law School. But I didn’t retire. And for the last six years, Ginny has waited patiently as I pursued a wonderfully satisfying experience as a State Representative. During that time we’ve successfully defeated prostate cancer, skin cancer, bladder cancer, and two aneurisms. We’ve escaped from our burning house and then rebuilt it. And we’ve watched five amazing grandchildren grow into special people….”
