Part 1:
We talk with Lee Harris, writing fellow at the American Prospect the proposed changes to paid leave. The insurance industry has had a heavy hand in designing the changes, and what has emerged is convoluted, and a hybrid model of government and private insurance. Part 2: We talk with Matt Bruenig, founder of the People's Policy Project, about workers in Denmark, and the concession they won from McDonald's. This concession was only possible because of the strength of the unions (and the effectiveness of the sympathy strikes in other sectors). This is in contrast to what exists in the US.
