We talk with Scott Braddock, Dean of the Austin Press Corps about Texas. The storm expected this week will remind many of last year’s storm, which caused electrical outages, and cost lives as a result. Democrats should take advantage and remind Texans of the unpreparedness of the state’s grid. There are still people waiting to be made whole even now. The governor is up for reelection, with Beto O’Rourke challenging him. Part 2: We talk with Bill Curry and Lincoln Mitchell about the upcoming elections, and specifically, that Trump has given Corey Lewandowski the task of eliminating Sununu in New Hampshire, because Trump has felt that Sununu has not been loyal enough to him. We also discuss the systematic attempts to dismantle public education by the Republicans. Pres. Biden is intending to nominate a Black woman to the Supreme Court. Republicans have already criticized any (yet unnamed) nominees on the basis of “qualifications”, indicating that they expect nominees to fit into a very narrow definition: white, male, standard educational path
