Part 1:
We talk with Scott Braddock, Editor of the Quorum Report, about Texas. He is in Brownsville, in south Texas, close to the border. We discuss the situation with the National Guard, who are there at the behest of Gov. Abbott, for no reason. Morale is bad, they have no resources, and they haven’t been paid for this “political war”. We talk about what Democrats should be doing to garner more of the vote in ”the Valley”. Many residents are of Hispanic descent, but different in their outlook from Hispanics in the large cities. They tend to be more socially conservative. We discuss some of the dirty tricks that Republicans are using to eliminate Democrats and centrist Republicans. Part 2: We talk with Lincoln Mitchell and Bill Curry about several topics. Eileen Gu, the skier who was born and raised in the US, but chose to represent China in the Olympics, has had a lot of attention. There are many factors for her choice, including financial. We also talk about the Supreme Court, which has been busy rolling back many previously decided cases. Kavanaugh has published his defense of the shadow docket recently, and this is also disturbing. How much reverence does the Supreme Court deserve?
