We talk with John Nichols, writer for The Nation, about the history of voting rights, and how they have expanded over time. Now, Republicans are attempting to change this trend, by imposing new limits and impediments to voting rights. We also discuss the recent 'space flight' of both Bezos and Musk, and whether we need to impose more costs to others like them. (landing fees, 'taxi medallions', etc.)
We talk with Prof. Srinivasan, of Berkeley, about how children learn language and how they are set up to learn in future settings. The more children are talked to by adults, the more they benefit: greater vocabulary, more engagement, among other advantages. Parents need support in order to make this possible.
