From Skip Tenczar
They called the police on the police,
As they watched his signs of life decrease.
Many of them were crying,
They knew he was dying.
Will these witnesses ever find any peace?

Just after 2am, the GOP-led Texas Senate approved sweeping changes to voting laws so that the voter suppression will be increased in Texas, too. The vote in favor was by white Republicans. The votes against were by Democrats and people of color. This was targeted at Houston, the most diverse city in the US. Based on a lie about voter fraud that did not exist.
The Senate also approved a bill to ban abortions after 6 weeks, the "heartbeat bill"
Sen. Ted Cruz and other GOP senators visit the border where they say a "humanitarian crisis" is unfolding and it's the fault of President Biden .
We anticipate that the issues that the Republicans will trumpet will be abortion, the border, and the deficit until the midterms.

Should the presidential primary be changed? NH and Iowa are not representative of the American voter. This is a party decision, and changes would most likely bring other candidates.
We discuss the ongoing Chauvin trial, and how this is a test of the American justice system.
HR 1 will change many things, and will, if passed, prop us democracy.
The infrastructure bill has been proposed, and should improve the American economy.
Harvey Milk's murder is a stark reminder of the persistence of police brutality
Few realize Milk and San Francisco mayor George Moscone were killed in part due to their opposition to police violence and abuse (Lincoln Mitchell) https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/nov/27/harvey-milk-assassination-police-brutality
I cried twice today-first when I heard Darnella who filmed George Floyd's murder say she apologizes to #GeorgeFloyd every night for not doing more to save him & watching the funeral of the cop who lost his life trying to save lives at the #Colorado grocery store. Life is complex. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2021/03/30/darnella-frazier-video-teen-filmed-george-floyds-death-testifies/7057512002/?fbclid=IwAR0efn8-FNCu7UVajEgq_xsxNWlvo08wPn4yojmmneWby6ck7wgbGGPHIBg
Derek Chauvin’s Defense Puts Black Lives Matter on Trial
If George Floyd was somehow culpable in his own death, the defense seemed to argue, then so were the bystanders.
Push back omn HR 1 this is not a NH story...divisive concepts passed in Iowa and they also oppose HR1
Sununu and Gardner use the pretense of protecting the presidential primary as a reason to oppose HR 1 but to be honest we will lose the primary for three reasons
1. We are second oldest state in the nation, we are overwhelmingly white (90%) and we are rich (NH is the 7th richest state in the nation) we do not reflect the changing demographic of America which is necessary as future Presidential candidates are to be considered.
2. We are about to embrace the divisive concepts bill that was originally designed by Trump in October of 2020.This bill would have a chilling effect on virtually all persons and contractors associated with the state preventing them from discussing or educating about racism, sexism and other inequities crucial to a learning from our past (NH is, by law, demanding ignorance of its citizens) How do we choose a candidate for President if we embrace a law that makes is unlawful to consider the strengths AND weaknesses of our past behavior preventing a full throated conversation about the policy mistakes that have resulted as a consequence
3. We, like Georgia, are vigorously embracing voter suppression with our main target being the youth vote in NH
Dems could dethrone Iowa
The party, uncomfortable with the overwhelmingly white state's sway, is thinking about blowing up its presidential primary calendar.
nugget: “There’s no diversity in Iowa. There’s certainly no diversity in New Hampshire.”
